OOUUCCCHHHHHH!!! (this crap is getting old)

When you go to the doctor and the ask, "On a scale of 1-10, what's you're pain right now?" The only thing that ever came close was when my wonderful husband slammed my fingers in the car door just hours after he proposed to me. Well I now know what a REAL 10 is.

Yesterday I took a nap in the evening (like I always do), got up to go pee (like I always do anymore), and I hit the floor. I felt a pain in my side like I'd never felt before. I screamed my head off. It was a solid minute of straight anguish! I still ached a little after but it wasn't horrible. I'd been having a lot of back pain from Noah being so low for the last week so I just thought he hit another nerve. Dean did a big taboo thing with me and looked up symptoms online. UGHHH! He started getting worried I had or was having a miscarriage. He got me worried because I hadn't felt him move since about 3 that afternoon and it was now after 8. He told me he was taking me to the labor & delivery at Fort Belvoir. As soon as I walked in the door I was instantly rushed into a room and put on the monitor. Once again Noah was hiding very low and it was hard for the nurse to get him on the monitor. The silence was killing me and I could see the worry on Dean's face. I heard a 'swoosh" and knew that was him moving and then heard the best sound in the world; his precious heartbeat. The nurse left and kept me on the monitor. As soon as she walked out the door, Dean and I both broke down and cried. Tears of joy poured down our cheeks.

They ran some tests to find out what was wrong with me. Turns out I had a kidney stone. My dad had had one some years back, I of course told him to stop being a baby and never thought it could happen to me. WRONG! They actually told me I had too much calcium in my system. Between the Tums Plus Calcium for my acid reflux that I pop like candy daily, my prenatal vitamins, and the gallon of milk we go through every couple of days I guess it was just all too much. The NP said to stay on the couch and rest for a couple of days, cut back on the milk, and drink WATER WATER WATER!

Noah is fine and has been VERY active all night (that's why it's 2:30 I'm still up).
