Busy week...

...and a busier month is coming up for us. This last weekend we were in Beaufort, SC to see Dean's brother graduate from Marine Corps boot camp.

It was sooo hot down there. It was 114° and 100% humidity. Dean was being a good daddy and keeping on me about drinking plenty of water.
We had a good time spending 3 days with our family: FIL Mike, MIL Denise, AIL Aunt Margie, BILs Alex and Joe, and Alex's girlfriend Malerie.

The 11th I have my shower here in Virginia. The next weekend, 18th, we go to Ohio for one of my showers there. The week after that, September 25th- October 2nd we will be on a beach in Myrtle Beach. In October we'll be heading back to Ohio for a wedding and my 3rd and final shower.

Aww wook at da wittle baby!

We got our stroller in the mail the other day. It's from Dean's parents. We tried it out with our fur kid Killer. It works really well. Hopefully Noah likes it better than Killer does.

Nusery

I've had a really busy week with lots of company coming and going. My mom came down and bought us the crib and changing table. The whole time I had myself convinced I wanted a lifetime crib but when I thought about it, we'll probably be having another baby by the time Noah will grow out of a toddler bed and will need the crib again instead of turning it into a full sized bed. The crib we got goes from crib to toddler bed and the changing table turns into a twin headboard.

My little sister, Brooke, organized the closet for me.

This is one of the sheets my mom got for us and the football Dean bought for Noah.

Stop your boo-hooing!

I'm tired of whining. I picked my self off the couch and baked a damn pie... and boy was it good! I ate half of it and I don't feel bad one damn bit. Sometimes it just feels so good to be bad. Oh I feel like shit now but it was wonderful. I know what you're all thinking, "She's pregnant! She needs to eat healthy!" Well, I hardly ever eat fast food, I eat more fruits and vegetables than the average person, and my doctor said I am on the minimum weight gain side of the graph. Soooooo... POO ON ALL OF YOU!

OOUUCCCHHHHHH!!! (this crap is getting old)

When you go to the doctor and the ask, "On a scale of 1-10, what's you're pain right now?" The only thing that ever came close was when my wonderful husband slammed my fingers in the car door just hours after he proposed to me. Well I now know what a REAL 10 is.

Yesterday I took a nap in the evening (like I always do), got up to go pee (like I always do anymore), and I hit the floor. I felt a pain in my side like I'd never felt before. I screamed my head off. It was a solid minute of straight anguish! I still ached a little after but it wasn't horrible. I'd been having a lot of back pain from Noah being so low for the last week so I just thought he hit another nerve. Dean did a big taboo thing with me and looked up symptoms online. UGHHH! He started getting worried I had or was having a miscarriage. He got me worried because I hadn't felt him move since about 3 that afternoon and it was now after 8. He told me he was taking me to the labor & delivery at Fort Belvoir. As soon as I walked in the door I was instantly rushed into a room and put on the monitor. Once again Noah was hiding very low and it was hard for the nurse to get him on the monitor. The silence was killing me and I could see the worry on Dean's face. I heard a 'swoosh" and knew that was him moving and then heard the best sound in the world; his precious heartbeat. The nurse left and kept me on the monitor. As soon as she walked out the door, Dean and I both broke down and cried. Tears of joy poured down our cheeks.

They ran some tests to find out what was wrong with me. Turns out I had a kidney stone. My dad had had one some years back, I of course told him to stop being a baby and never thought it could happen to me. WRONG! They actually told me I had too much calcium in my system. Between the Tums Plus Calcium for my acid reflux that I pop like candy daily, my prenatal vitamins, and the gallon of milk we go through every couple of days I guess it was just all too much. The NP said to stay on the couch and rest for a couple of days, cut back on the milk, and drink WATER WATER WATER!

Noah is fine and has been VERY active all night (that's why it's 2:30 I'm still up).
